WCRHL Division I All Star Game ends in a shootout

The WCRHL Division I All Star Game ended in a shootout on Saturday night.  The teams played 2 12-minute periods and the score was tied 5-5 at the conclusion.  A 4-man shootout determined the winner in this exciting game.  The Dark team's goaltenders, Gary Germin (UNLV) and Jay Schoen (UCSB), switched every 6 minutes, while the Light team's goaltender, Taz Viloria (Saddleback College), played the entire game.  Leading scorers for the Light team were Brian Ganz (Arizona State, 2 goals, 2 assists) and Alex Dodt (Arizona State, 2 goals, 1 assist).    Leading scorers for the Dark team were Brian Costello (Cal Poly SLO, 2 goals, 1 assist) and Charlie Delkeskamp (Cal Poly SLO, 1 goal, 2 assists).  The score was tied 2-2 at the conclusion of the 1st period and again was tied 5-5 at the conclusion of regulation. 
 
The teams chose 4 skaters a piece for the shootout.  The Dark team's Sean Kleckner (UCSB), brother Alex Kleckner (CSU Northridge), Billy Tufano (UNLV) and Shawn Pearson (UNLV) were all stopped by Taz Viloria, who earned the #1 star in the game.  The Light team was able to put 2 past the Dark goaltenders, with Derek Bolls (Arizona State) and Tyler Lekas (Saddleback College) scoring.  Tyler Koressel (Arizona State) and Alex Dodt (Arizona State) complete with sunglasses, were unable to put the puck past the Dark team's goaltenders.  The final score was 7-5 in favor of the Light team.
